Company Journey: Major Milestones from 1978 to Present

1978
General Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. (GPI) was founded by Chairman Mr. Jack Wang.
1986
The company expanded into plastic molding production, specializing in toner cartridges for copiers and printers.

1995
GPI established a second plant and increased its production capacity to seven lines.
1996
Initiated ISO 9002 implementation to enhance quality management.
1997
Achieved ISO 9002 certification.
1998
Continued efforts to improve quality through ISO 9002.
1999
Developed and successfully introduced OPC drum bases to the market, establishing capabilities for manufacturing complex OPC bases. Upgraded gears to JIS4 standards. In October, GPI developed precision gears with a 60mm outside diameter for copiers and began mass production.

2000
The company name was officially changed to General Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. in April. In May, GPI issued stocks, and by August, total capital increased to 9.7 million USD.
2001
Shares were listed on the OTC market (Code: 6128).
2002
In April, GPI began mass production of its first model of complex “All in one” laser printer toner cartridges and developed several additional models.
2003
Shares transitioned to listing on the TWSE.
2006
Total capital increased to 22.6 million USD.
2008
The Cartridge Web brand was created for the finished goods wholesale market, focusing on toner cartridges for printers.
2009
The Cartridge Web brand was further developed, seeking regional distributors and wholesalers. Total capital increased to 47.5 million USD.

Created Cartridge Web brand for finished goods wholesale market on toner cartridge for printers.

2010
Construction began on a hotel building in the Taichung Harbor region.
2012
Achieved ISO 14001 certification.
2013
Grand opening of the Taichung Harbor Hotel in March.
2018
Completed the 100% acquisition of Katun Holdings LP, the world’s largest distributor of aftermarket imaging supplies. Capital was further increased by cash.
2021
Achieved ISO 13485 certification.
